My Travel Bucket List | 12 Toddler & Kid Friendly Caribbean Resorts

Friends, I am embarrassed how long this post has been in my draft box!! I started this post before COVID and then had to hold off and then went back to it at the end of COVID when I was craving a family trip to the islands with my family and then now I am just finally returning to it to finalize it!! If you have been following along here for awhile, it is no secret that Matt and I are completely in love with the Caribbean.

Matt and I have done quite a few trips to the Caribbean on our own and now we are slowly starting to bring the three kids along with us too. Many of our favorite memories come from some pretty spectacular trips (find them under Caribbean life) that we’ve been lucky to take over the years. Of course, we love to travel as a couple; but now that the kids are getting older, I love the idea of taking them along too.  However, I do think it is important and so nice when the resorts have some type of kids club!  You want to turn this “trip” into a vacation by being able to run to the spa or have a day date with your hubby, so having some type of kids camp is pretty important.   I have tried to share all the details on kids clubs for each resort as well as the ages that are allowed in their kids camps. All three of my kids love to travel now, and I think that these experiences have really helped to shape them, while making wonderful memories!

Many of our trips have been primarily focused on the kids, such as our Disney adventures. However, there are plenty of kid-friendly luxury resorts out there, for those who do not want to sacrifice comfort and still have an enjoyable trip. I’ve rounded up a few of these. Some I have visited, and others are on my list! It is on my bucket list to hit all the islands in the Caribbean one day.  So you will notice some resorts are on big islands and some on small!

Have you visited any of these resorts? Am I missing some great ones?  I’d love to hear about your experiences if you could share in the comments for others to see!

Carlisle Bay
Antigua (Recommended for ages 6 months and up)

What’s not to love here? The kids’ club is even called the “Cool Kids’ Club!” From the website: Children are very welcome and are cherished by all the team at Carlisle Bay. Entertainment through the Cool Kids Club will keep them busy and more importantly happy during their stay. Alternatively, if the purpose of your Caribbean family holiday is to connect again as a family, taking part in activities together is a fun way to do this. Should you wish to explore beyond the resort this can easily be arranged by land, sea or even air.

The Cool Kids’ Club comes with qualified babysitters. Activities include movies, water sports, beach time, and tennis. Toddlers to teenagers are welcome.

Four Seasons
Nevis – (Kids Club activities for ages 3 to 9)

The unique activities here for “kids and kids at heart” include monkey sightings and kite making – as well as beaches, pools, golf and tennis galore. They even feature a driving range on the beach, where you’re encouraged to drive your eco-bio golf ball into the water! Island tours for the whole family are also offered.

Rosewood Le Guanahani
St. Barth (Best for ages 2 and up)

This beautiful resort offers a luxurious experience with a tribute to the French heritage of the island. It includes the Rosewood Explorers program for kids, open to ages 4-11. The activities are different each day and are customized to suit the ages and interests of the children attending. Read more about this program here. Child care is also offered at this resort upon request.

Sugar Beach
St. Lucia (Best for ages 4 and up)

Matt and I spent our Honeymoon here 10 years ago and we fell in love with this place.  I remember looking around the resort saying I would love to take our kids and rest of our family here one day.  The “Sugar and Spice Clubs” are offered by this resort especially for kids ages 4-12, as well as a separate program for tweens and teens. Click here to read more about all programs available. Babysitting services are also available upon request. The accommodations here look just heavenly. Wow!!

Spice Island
Grenada (all inclusive) (Activities for ages 3-12)

Spice Island is an environmentally friendly all-inclusive luxury resort. It features non-motorized water sports and The Nutmeg Pod Activity Center for kids.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay
BVIs (Best for ages 3 and up)

This beautiful and rustic resort features the “Rosewood Explorers” children’s program, with half day and full day options. Learn more about their offerings for kids here. This is a beautiful area that allows you to hop around to other beautiful islands close by.  Matt and I were able to walk this property and have lunch here while on our last trip to the BVI’s and this looked like a great place to bring kids.  I love the BVI’s because you can take excursions and see so many other beautiful islands in the area.

Atlantis
Bahamas (Activities for ages 3 and up)

We have take the kids here and we LOVED it!  It is a bit like a Bahama disney world, so keep that in mind. Atlantis is truly a family resort and has something for everyone. Click here to learn more about their options for families. We took all three kids to Atlantis a couple of years ago, and it was a great trip. Read my recap here!

Baha Mar
Bahamas ( Kids Club Ages 3-12 plus lots of activities )

Just 20 minutes or so up the road from Atlantis (above), this newer resort looks like a child’s dream!  This is very much like an Atlantis in my opinion but newer!  We are taking the kids here this summer and I can’t wait.  They have finished the waterpark which is supposed to be awesome and you can take a day trip over to Eleuthera by Harbour Island which I think would be really fun.  If you wanted, you can also take a day trip over to Atlantis and buy a day pass and do all of their outdoor activities.

Ritz Carlton
Puerto Rico (Activities for ages 4 to 12)

Click here for more information on the “Ritz Kids” program at this San Juan location. So many fun activities are offered, with flexible scheduling! Here is one very unique perk of this resort, aimed at families: the resort fee includes one complimentary 45 minute family photography session with an option to purchase images and one free print per session. What a fun opportunity and souvenir from a beautiful family trip!

Four Seasons
Anguilla (Activities for ages 5 to 12)

Matt and I have stayed here and we loved it.  This resort has thought of everything to make kids’ experiences as unique and fun as possible. Click here to learn more about their “Kids for All Seasons” programming. The resort will also plan customized family-friendly outings upon request!

The Buccaneer
St. Croix (Activities for ages 4-12)

This activity-centered resort has been named “one of the best family resorts” by Forbes magazine. Click here to learn more about the offerings for families and children. Additionally, accommodations especially designed to comfortably house families are included on the property.

Park Hyatt
St. Kitts (Activities for various ages)

Kids of all ages are welcome here! The Island Fort Kids Club is a major attraction, and water sports, snorkeling, a library, hiking, and a kids’ buffet for all meals are featured. The resort even has outdoor play equipment, DVD rentals, board games, and puzzles available. They have thought of everything!
