Chopped Deli Dip
A fun twist on the viral chopped Italian sub—perfect for parties, game day, or serving with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or tortilla chips. It is also wonderful to eat like a salad or throw it on some sub rolls to eat like a sandwich.
Ingredients
For the Chopped Deli Dip
- 2–3 slices deli ham (or turkey)
- 6-8 slices Genoa salami
- 6-8 slices deli pepperoni
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 5 slices red onion
- 4-6 slices provolone cheese
- ¼ cup banana peppers, plus a few splashes of the jarred brine
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar (or a splash of oil & vinegar)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Optional Topping
- Crushed Nacho Doritos (highly recommended for extra crunch and flavor)
Instructions
- Spread the shredded lettuce across a large cutting board or flat surface.
- Layer the ham, salami, and pepperoni and provolone over the lettuce.
- Add the red onion and banana peppers.
- Dollop the mayonnaise over everything, then sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
- Drizzle with the red wine vinegar and a few splashes of the banana pepper brine. Season with salt and pepper.
- Using a large, sharp knife, chop everything together until the meats, vegetables, and dressing are finely chopped and evenly combined into a creamy deli salad.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and, if desired, top with crushed Nacho Doritos just before serving.

Notes
- Swap in your favorite deli meats like capicola, turkey, or prosciutto.
- Add provolone or mozzarella for an extra cheesy version.
- Make the chopped mixture a few hours ahead, but stir in the lettuce just before serving if you’d like it extra crisp.
- The crushed Doritos are optional—but they add a wonderful crunch that makes this dip extra delicious.
