What to Pack

If you’re planning a spa weekend, packing intentionally makes all the difference. The goal? Comfort, ease, and a little bit of luxury.

First, think layers and loungewear. Miraval is beautifully relaxed — you’ll live in leggings, soft tees, cozy wraps, and easy sundresses for meals. Bring one or two swimsuits for the pools, hot tubs, and any water therapies, plus waterproof sandals you can slip on and off throughout the day. A light jacket is helpful for chilly mornings or overly enthusiastic air-conditioning.

For wellness activities — whether it’s yoga, meditation, hiking, or a fitness class — pack comfortable workout clothes and supportive sneakers. Even if you think you’re going just to relax, you may find yourselves signing up for something adventurous together (which is half the fun).

Toiletries can stay minimal since the resort provides beautiful products, but I always bring my favorite skincare essentials, sunscreen, hair ties, and a small makeup pouch for dinners. A reusable water bottle and a lightweight tote are also incredibly handy for moving between the spa, pool, and classes. These are a few of my favorites. Check out my full packing list here.

Daytime Activities

Whether it was a morning stretch class, a mindfulness walk, or just wandering the property with coffee in hand, here are pieces to keep you comfortable all day.

• I practically lived in a great pair of high-waisted leggings.
• A soft, breathable top, and my trusty HOKA sneakers for walking the property and staying comfortable.
• The leggings were supportive but comfortable enough to lounge in, and I chose a relaxed, slightly oversized top that felt polished without trying too hard. And the HOKAs were a must — lightweight, cushioned, and perfect for everything from light hikes to walks between the spa and our room.

The travel-day and arrival look

When you’re catching your flight, driving in, or checking into your lodge, you want something comfortable but polished. Think: cozy knit + boots + a statement accessory.

Outfits for exploring the mountain & nature

Jackson Hole’s natural beauty is jaw-dropping. From hikes to scenic overlooks, you’ll want layers that are practical and photo-worthy.

Here’s your style and function combo:

• A light insulating jacket like this Becton Jacket from Varley or a Tuckernuck Poncho you can zip up when the wind picks up

• Sweaters and coats for layering – I’m wearing this Fair Isle Sweater and this long quilted sherpa jacket.

• One item that I didn’t have for on our trip that I wish I had for our hike was a real pair of hiking boots.  I had looked at buying these before our trip, but didn’t.  They would have been nice to have!

Downtown dinner/evening chic

Once the sun sets and you’re heading into town for dinner or cocktails, it’s time to up the fashion ante. The vibe in Jackson has that refined Western aesthetic: suede, boots, subtle glam.Here are my go-to pieces:

• A suede or faux-fur jacket to pair with a fringe skirt (this skirt is too cute and a great price)

• A knit dress or a sleek top + dark jeans – the one I’m wearing is sold out but I love this Fiona Dress!

• Tecova boots (maybe with a thicker heel since sidewalks can be wooden) I’ve had these for years and love them.

• Statement earrings or necklace like this Bolo Tie from Tuckernuck

• A crossbody or suede bag

Switching into this look instantly signals “mountain glam meets cowboy-cool.”

Cozy lounge/hotel vibe

After a day of adventure, you’ll appreciate something ultra cozy for fireside drinks, spa time, or relaxing in the lodge.

While I love the classic look of jean shorts, there is something about linen that is breezy, effortless, and very versatile. They’re a must for more casual summer outfits (just add a tee and sneakers), but you can easily elevate them with the right top, shoes, and accessories.

I’ve gathered up a handful of linen shorts outfits that will give you plenty of inspiration to choose from when you’re putting options together this season — whether you need resort wear ideas for vacation or looks to wear on the daily. You don’t want things to feel too hot or dark when the sun is bright. That’s why I find it’s perfect when you pair it with lighter shades. A perfect way of doing this is leaning on a black linen button-up and a pair of linen-blend shorts like Aylin has done here. The woven hat and bag only make this feel even more summery!

3. Red Linen Shorts + Poplin Blouse

Who doesn’t love a pop of color come summer? Red is particularly cute, and a great choice for Fourth of July festivities or simply on days when you want something other than a neutral, minimalist outfit. You could work off of the exact outfit above, or you could add a simple pattern on top with neutral sandals. Another idea? Go all out with maximalism and opt for a color-blocked outfit, featuring a bright red top in the same hue.

My Favorite Swimsuits for Spring Break

Spring break is just around the corner, and it’s time to start planning those beach days! Whether you’re heading to a tropical paradise or lounging by the pool, finding the perfect swimsuit is essential. Here are my favorite picks that combine style, comfort, and fun for this spring break!  I know swimsuit shopping is many of our least favorite things to do, so I am going to try to break it down by the types of swimsuits I like and brands that I love.

1. High-Waisted Two-Piece

Nothing says retro-chic like a high-waisted bikini! This style flatters a variety of body types and offers extra coverage while still being trendy. I love feeling a little more held-in with a high waisted bottom and then trying out different style tops that make you feel best.  I love this one and Summersalt always has great, comfortable options as well.

2. One-Piece with Cutouts

One-pieces have made a major comeback, especially with the addition of fun cutouts. This style is perfect for showing a little skin while still being sophisticated. I particularly love ones with unique back designs or side cutouts that add a touch of flair without sacrificing comfort.  This has been one of my favorite this season and own this one in multiple colors.

3. Sporty Swimsuit

For those active beach days filled with volleyball or surfing or chasing around kids, a sporty swimsuit is a must. Look for styles with racerback designs and secure fits that allow for movement. I opt for bold colors or fun patterns to keep it playful.  I am loving this sporty top from this year. 

4. Ruffled Bikini

Ruffles are such a cute way to add a feminine touch to your swimwear. I adore bikinis with ruffled tops or bottoms—they’re playful and flirty! Pair a ruffled top with solid bottoms for a balanced look or go for a fun print to make a statement.  I definitely have a brand that I love for these ruffled looks and own my different styles.  These are more for a fancy vacation without the kids rather than chasing children at the pool or beach.

5. Sculpting Swimwear

Sculpting swimwear is a fantastic option for those looking for a flattering fit. These swimsuits often feature body-shaping technology that smooths and sculpts your figure. Many come in stylish designs, so you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. I definitely turned into one of those Mom’s that loves to match or coordinate with her kids when I can!  I know my days are very numbered, so I am trying to soak in the last little bit of time to match with them that I can.  There are a few places that I love to shop Mama and me options: Minnow Swim, Marysia, The Beaufort Bonnet Company and Beach Riot. 

Tips for Choosing the Right Swimsuit

• Know Your Body Shape: Understanding your body shape can help you select a swimsuit that enhances your best features.  Don’t be so afraid to even just try a two piece, you might surprise yourself.

• Comfort is Key: Ensure that the swimsuit fits well and is comfortable for all-day wear. You want to feel confident while enjoying the sun!  Also if you have a long- torso, be sure to seek out brands that offer those options.  I love Summer Salt for this option or trying out a two-piece rather than a piece.

• Don’t Forget the Accessories: A cute cover-up, stylish sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat can instantly elevate your beach look!  I love to find great pareos or beach skirts that I can easily wrap around my waist when I am at the pool, beach or on the boat.  My favorites are Julia Amory, Agua Bandito and Stylest.

We took a trip to St. Barths for my 40th birthday in February and here is a look at everything I packed for our trip.  This island is so beautiful and known for being quite “chic.”  So packing felt a little intimidating, but I was up for the challenge.  Sun dresses and beautiful island life are two of my very favorite things

I tried to link everything that I could, but of course some items I brought were older and are no longer available.  I tried to link similar items for you.

In St. Barths, we found that during the day, we pretty much lived in swimsuits and coverups and that is what you would wear all day including going to the fun beach club lunches.  For the evenings, we wore sun dresses and the men are fine in shorts and a button down.  My husband did pack a couple pair of pants and a sports coat that he wore one night, but that certainly is not required.

I also through in a couple of workout outfits for walking around the island and some tennis shoes.  If you plan to do any of the hikes to a couple of the pretty beaches, you will need tennis shoes.  You can find my full travel guide to the island, here.

Here’s a look at everything I packed for our trip to Deer Valley over New Years.  Packing for a ski trip is always a bit stressful to me because there is so much stuff that goes with it!  I shared a large detailed post here on all our tips and tricks we have learned over the years for trying to simplify the process and how we keep things stored at home to make it easier to get ready for the next trip.

Once you figure out everything you have and need to pack for the the ski slopes, then you have to decide on what to wear apres ski.  Everything is usually very casual in ski resort towns, so jeans and a cozy sweater were work just fine.  I love to elevate my looks by wearing black jeans or jeans with a waxy/leather finish and always love to finish out the outfits with some fun faux fur.  I live in moon boots when I am in the mountains.  They are so comfortable and look cute too.

If you are looking for ideas to wear to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour Concert, then you have come to the right place.  We have rounded up some fun ideas to give you inspiration for the Taylor Swift Eras tour.   Here’s the thing, we went through and found products that may be available now; but just remember, all you need are some fabulous sequins, rhinestones or anything lavender or hot pink and you are in business!!

We just went to our first show in Miami and looking at all the outfits were almost as fun as watching Taylor Swift “shake it off.”  We saw so many great sequins and ladies rocking fabulous body suits and young girls that spent hours upon hours hand making their perfect outfits for the night!   You will see girls wearing exact outfits from specific “eras” and you will see plenty of tulle, rhinestones and cowboy boots.  If I can persuade you, I may tell you to wear comfortable shoes over fashionable ones!! That’s hard for me to say and I was wanting so badly to wear an amazing pair of pink boots that I had, but I am SO SO happy that I ended up going for comfort and wore a pair of sneakers!

Here’s a look at what Madelyn and I wore for the night.  My dress is old that I found on sale last year thinking it may be possible that I go to a Swift concert in the future and that this would be such a fun dress!! And it worked out :). I found it online still but they have very limited sizes but it is still on sale.   I wore old GG sneakers with my that I had and I am SO happy that I was comfortable.  Madelyn had these fun boots (I had the matching pair and didn’t wear) and she really wanted to wear them so I put a pair of comfortable flats in my purse for her to change into and I am so happy we did that too!!!  Madelyn wore this dress that we’ve loved for a year and was so cute for the show.  I’m also obsessed with this one.

I wish I had snapped more pictures around the concert of peoples amazing outfits for the night.  I was fun to see.  This lady with the 87 jersey was just a random woman we stopped to get a picture with Madelyn because we loved her sequin jersey dress.

You can find these two outfits below that Taylor is wearing on Amazon for both adults and kids and match her outfits.  We saw quite a few people wearing the black sequin shorts with this shirt that says “A lot going on at the moment” which is taken from her 22 song performance.

I hope this is helpful!! You can find a lot of stuff on TikTok for inspiration if you search Taylor Swift concert outfits.  Here are a few more things that I would say not to forget to bring to the concert with you if you remember!  You definitely need to bring friendship bracelets to trade.  You can order them online or make your own before the show.  You will definitely want a portable phone charger to have to recharge your phone and it was highly recommended to bring ear plugs.  I bought some for the show and then completely forgot them back at our hotel.  We were okay without them but if I had brought my six year old daughter, I know she would have wanted them.  You will also want a clear purse (you can check that for each stadium venue) and some fun glitter makeup and rhinestones for face or hair!  You may also be really happy to have these foldable flats if you decide to wear something besides sneakers.
