The kids finished up their last two days of school with a Polar Express Day and then Madelyn’s class had a little cookie party and Brody’s made Gingerbread Men. They were so cute and proud! And I’m happy to say that we made it through all of Christmas without any sick kids!! It literally felt like a Christmas miracle!
The first weekend they were out of school, my in-laws came to town to celebrate Christmas with us. We had so much fun and it was such a gorgeous weekend. We walked downtown and saw Santa Claus, road the train, had lunch outside and then headed home to get ready to exchange gifts and have dinner!! It really made it fun to open gifts early with them. It got us all in the Christmas spirit plus it helped space out some of the kids so they aren’t getting a million at one time! They had so much fun with their cousins. We took them all to see the new Mary Poppins Returns one day too! They enjoyed it even though it was probably over their heads.
It was such a busy and fun holiday season! I tried to soak in every minute but it was a whirlwind!
