Holiday Gift Guide for the Boys 2019

Here’s a guide for the boys in your life! My son is 6, so this years guide may be geared towards that age group. He loves legos, soccer, nerf guns and all kinds of board games! So that is what this year is full of.

AGE 6 BOY IDEAS

Old School Nintendo

This just made me happy to see! Brody is actually dying for the Nintendo Switch this year that he played at a friends house, but I just can’t get him started on video games yet.  But when he is ready for a gaming system, I could have a lot of fun with this one!!

Mega Construx Pokemon

Brody has become Pokemon obsessed, so anything cool I could find I was intrigued by. This is like a lego set that builds Pokemon characters.

Headbanz Junior

I have been wanting this game for awhile to play with the kids!

Old School Speak & Spell Game

Brody is loving trying to spell everything these days, so this old school game looked like fun for him to try.

The Nugget Sofa

I have seen these great sofas around a lot lately. They have all different ways that you can play with them and use them. I wanted to remember this, but we probably won’t get one of these until we move into the new house!

Osmo Genius

I have seen these for awhile and Brody has one in his Kindergarten classroom this year. I watch the kids take turns playing on it and it seems like a great activity for them to use and learn on.

Reflex Soccer Game

Brody played his 3rd year of soccer this year and he loves it. He wants me to play with him all the time. This little reflex game seemed like a fun way for him to do a little practicing by himself.

Relay Kids Phone Alternative

I think I will wait a couple of years for this, but this little blue speaker looking thing can basically be used like a phone for your young kids without them really having a phone. It does require a small monthly subscription service but has GPS tracking and is like a walkie talkie.

Lego Sets

Brody can spend hours building, so looking for some new sets for him this year.

Nerf Modulus Gun

To my dismay, Brody is OBSESSED with nerf guns. He already has a dozen and wants a new one for Christmas. He picked out one new one for Christmas.

Pokemon Cards

I never really understood these and still don’t, but Brody loves to play with these and trade them with all his little buddies at school. So he asked for some new ones this year.

Ryans Surprise Egg

Do your kids like Ryans Toy Review?? Both my kids love these surprise eggs.

Cinamood

We have one of these and I think they are the coolest little projectors. They are perfect for travel. I love to pack them in our suitcase and the kids think it is such a treat!

Indoor/Outdoor Screen

This screen is not necessary for the projector above, but would be fun to add to use outside at the new house!

Real Cash Register Piggy Bank

Brody loves money right now and this piggy bank is so cool because it works as a cash register but it will also hold their real money!

:: SHOP THE POST ::

Here are a few of our gift lists from the past that still have some great ideas so I wanted to share.

AGE 5 BOY | AGE 3 GIRL IDEAS

Boogie Board – My niece and nephew just sent this cute drawing board to Madelyn for Christmas. I have never seen these before and I just love them.  They are actually perfect for Brody too (age 5) since he is learning to write and practice his letters.  It’s great for the car, airplane, or at home.

Old School Nintendo – This just made me happy to see! Brody is actually dying for the Nintendo Switch this year that he played at a friends house, but I just can’t get him started on video games yet.  But when he is ready for a gaming system, I could have a lot of fun with this one!!

Magnaformers (boy) – Magnatiles have been the number one toy in our household (for both girl and boy) for like 3 years running now.  My kids just play with them ALL THE TIME.  So when I learned about these magnaformers, I was pretty excited to surprise them this year with something a little different.  They are going to be obsessed.

Magnaformers (girl) – Since Madelyn (age 3) loves them as much as Brody, I thought a girl set would be fun too.

Woobo Interactive Robot – Y’all, this thing is cool!! I ordered it for Brody and the Woobo Mini for Madelyn.  These little robots sing songs, tell stories, help them brush their teeth and so much more. I can’t wait to see how they interact with them.  I feel like this is our coolest gift.  I’m interested to see if they love it as much as I think they will.

Princess Doll Set – This set looks sold out right now which I’m so sorry about.  Im keeping it on here because maybe it will come back.  I think this is the cutest set for the girls!!

Ballerina Doll – I love this doll for the girls.  It would be the perfect stocking stuffer to hang out of their stocking!

Disneys Sing A Long Purse – How cute is this purse that is like a boom box for the girls?  It plays music and has a microphone for them to sing along.

Hot Wheels CorkScrew Track – Brody loves him some hot wheels these days and we have one track already that is really cool.  He’s really excited about this one.

School Time Kit – Melissa and Doug makes so many great toys.  Brody is loving playing teacher lately, so I thought this would be fun for him and Madelyn to play.

Strider Bike and Helmet – Madelyn is getting a big girl bike this year.  I die over this bike with the basket and cute matching helmet.  It comes in tons of great colors for both boys and girls too! You can still order it tonight to get in time for Christmas!

Ugg Boots – Always a favorite of mine! The pink is so sweet.

Paw Patrol Fire Truck – Kind of like the magnatiles, Brody has been obsessed with Paw Patrol for many years now.  He is still asking for more Paw Patrol for Christmas this year.  He loves this new firetruck.

Wooden Guitar – For my music lovers, this guitar is so cute.

Sorel Boots – Each of my kids have their Sorel boots for our ski trips and they love them and they happen to look ADORABLE in them. We even get a few days a year in Florida to wear them too.

Carry-All Basket on Wheels – This is a cute basket to lug dolls, toys, or stuffed animals around the house.

Copper Pan Set – Love the copper and we are back on the kitchen bandwagon this year.  Its all Madelyn has asked for! You can still get free shipping on this item too!

Lite-Brite Screen – Does this remind you of your childhood or what??

Vintage Kitchen – So I gave our old kitchen away this summer because we needed space for new things and they seemed to not play with it as much.  Well now all Madelyn can talk about is a new kitchen! Yikes!

3-in-1 Deluxe Scooter – This thing looks awesome.  They can sit or stand and scoot all around.

AGE 4 BOY IDEAS

Optimus Prime Transformer

My three year old nephew has a bunch of these transformers and Brody loves them.  I thought we would start his collection this year for Christmas.  It converts from a robot to a tow truck.  They are really cool and keep the boys entertained!

Melissa & Doug Standing Easel

Brody played with this set at a friend of ours house and it made my heart so happy to see him get creative and enjoy painting and drawing.  Before that, I never really saw him get into any arts & crafts too much.  He was having a ball with his little pal and I thought this was the perfect station for the little artist.  You can paint, write with chalk, dry erasers or draw. Here is the kit with everything to purchase with it.

Batbot Xtreme

Ya’ll this thing is huge.  It is over two feet, has wings, projectile launchers, voice changer and a motorcycle.  Brody has his heart set on this thing.  He is really just starting to get into the superhero phase.  He saw this one on TV and immediately added it to his Christmas list.

Paw Patrol Sea Patroller

We are big fans of Paw Patrol around here.  We have just about everything from the collection.  Brody loves the new sea patrol series and wants to add this sea patroller to his collection.  They also have this cool new Beach Patrol tower if you are fans.

Lookout Tower

This tower is probably as big as a toddler too, but since Brody has every single paw patrol car, I know he will love having the lookout tower to play with.  His imagination is huge and I love watching him play pretend.

Chutes and Ladders (Board Games)

I’m pretty excited to get into board games with the kids.  I think this year for Christmas would be a good year to get Brody a couple.  I’m going to start with this one.  I also love Candy Land, Connect Four and Guess Who? (when he’s a little older).

Wiggle Car

I purchased these two little wiggle riders for both kids on sale at Zulily awhile back.  They looked like a lot of fun and something both kids could do together.

Leap Frog Laptop

I always like to get a learning tool for the kids.  Now that Brody is 4 and in Pre-K, they are really learning things like identifying letters, numbers and more.  So I thought this would be a fun tool for him.  Does anyone else have a favorite Leapfrog for toddlers?  I would love recommendations.

Bike with Training Wheels : I’m thinking I would like to get this for Brody this year.  He is 3.5 years old and I think should be pretty close to ready to ride with training wheels!

Strider Balance Bike : These balance bikes are a great thing to start the kids on before they move up to a regular bike.

Hot Wheels Quad and Track– My Mom has a Thomas the Train like this for the kids and they love it. They work great on and of the track which is fun as they get older.

My First Flybar– This is on Brody’s list this year.  It looks like a lot of fun!

Little Tykes Jump and Slide Bouncer – Our friends have one of these and they are perfect for weekends with the neighborhood kids, special occasions or just a fun excuse to be outside for the day.

Up and Down Roller Coaster– These are so much fun for the kids outside!

Fisher Price Jeep Wrangler – I want a double seater for Brody this year so he can start taking his sister for rides!

Huffy Disney Scooter – Brody got one of these for his 3rd birthday and loves scooting around outside with his helmet on.

Click and Play Saxophone – We love music in our house!

Little People A Christmas Story Nativity – This is Brody’s first year of really wanting to learn and understand the meaning of Christmas.  It’s so much fun watching it through his eyes.

Magnetic Ice Cream Cone Set– We love all of our kitchen items and can always add to the collection.

Hape Wooden Kitchen– This was one of Brody’s first birthday gifts and he still plays with it to this day.

Hape Kitchen Starter Set – Wooden accessories to play with.

Wooden Cookie Play Food Set – Brody is a Cookie Monster and we love Melissa & Doug toys.

Magnatiles– We play with these daily!

Magnetic Puzzle and Drawing Board- Love the idea of the magnets and also can be used as a drawing board.

Remote Control Car– We have the remote control plane that we love to play with!

Laugh and Learn Purse– Madelyn is obsessed with my keys and wallet and wants to empty it all the time. I think she needs one of her own.

Amazon Fire Kids Tablet– We own one of these and they are great for travel.  If you are a Prime member you get tons of free shows and videos and can download movies to watch in car or airplane.

Camp Fire Set– I want to add this set to Brody’s teepee so we can make s’mores.

Playdoh Cement Mixer– I kind of HATE play doh, but it can occupy some time and I think Brody’s old enough to use one of these play sets now.
