Our Halloween 2022

Halloween kind of felt like it lasted forever this year… I am not sure if it was because it fell on a Monday, so we spent most of the weekend celebrating and the week before the kids had activities in school or what; but it just felt long!  It also could have had a lot to do with the kids have been on and off sick now for 4 weeks!!  Anyway, here’s a little recap of our Halloween this year.

School Parties

Madelyn is the only one that made it to her school parties this year! Brody and Molly were sick and missed school the day of their parties.  So sad.  But it was so fun to give Madelyn all the attention on the day or her party and I know she enjoyed every second of it 🙂

The Weekend

We played low most of the weekend trying to get everyone well, but then on Sunday me and the girls were able to venture out for a bit since Molly was finally well.  We went to the cutest birthday party and then stopped by our church Trunk or Treat which had an awesome turn out and was so fun.

Halloween

By Monday, everyone was well and we got to dress up for Halloween.  We picked a Snow White theme because Madelyn wanted to be a princess for Halloween this year and I ran with it.  I figured at age 7, this could be one of the last princess moments for her.  We even dressed the dog up as Dopey the dwarf!

We have a great neighborhood a few streets over that always throws an awesome Halloween party at their neighborhood park.  We went down there for the party and then trick or treated for a bit in their neighborhood.  They always have a great face painter there that does an amazing job with the kids costumes.  It was an early night still since it was a school night and the kids tired out quickly.

I always love looking back on all these Halloween posts and seeing the kids costumes (and ours) through the years! I can’t believe this is the 10th Halloween post recap that I have written!
