Ironically, this weekend Matt and I were supposed to escape for an adult-only weekend in Destin for an early birthday celebration for him; but instead you are getting a post full of Brody pictures…. How did that happen??
Well, our weekend plans kind of crumbled at the last minute as one of the couples had last minute babysitter issues and when we looked at the weather we saw lots of cold temperatures… Judging from the pictures you will see this weekend, you will notice that the forecast was totally off. It turned out to be a gorgeous weekend with warm temperatures and even bathing suit weather on Sunday. Oh well…you win some and you lose some. We managed to still have a wonderful weekend at home and took advantage of the sunshine.
Saturday we walked to the baseball stadium right next to our house and watched a college baseball game. One of our good friends alma mater was playing, so we met them there. We only lasted about 45 minutes with our wild man as he walked away with skinned up knees and hands from climbing up and down cement stairs 9million times. Let’s just say that it wasn’t very relaxing…
But he did look cute in his personalized pinstripes… 🙂
Saturday night we headed out to dinner with some friends sans kids and I managed to snap zero photos!! Go figure… We grabbed drinks and a delicious dinner and I even put make up on and a dress which seems rare these days. Hate I forgot to document it!
Sunday was absolutely exquisite and it has me pining for spring and summer so bad. We got out to the beach at 9am with a blanket and bag of sand toys and Brody played non-stop!! It was so much fun to spend the whole day outside. We met my brother and SIL for lunch beachside as well and didn’t get Brody home for a nap until after 2pm!
He was pooped to say the least….
We ended the weekend with pizza and drinks at our house with my bro and SIL and a little bit of the Oscars. I hate to admit that I fell asleep before they were over. But I did love seeing what everyone wore and per usual, JLO knocked it out of the park. She will always be my woman crush. I love her!
