We also held our oldest back (he was a July birthday, but I know even December birthdays who stayed back). I bet Brody will thrive in the half day kindergarten program!

His writing and sight word recognition exploded this year. Personality wise, he tends to get frustrated pretty easily so I think having a leg up of sorts will prepare him for next year. Good luck!
