Christmas Festivities 2022

We kicked off December with our annual Adams Homes Christmas party the first weekend of December.  It is always a fun night with lots of friends in town and we always love hosting our friends, the Ginn’s, for the night. You can read more about our weekend here.

I hosted my 9th Annual Girls Dirty Santa Party which is always so much fun to throw!

The following weekend we enjoyed a fabulous holiday party hosted by friends called the “Proper Progressive.”  They hosted a party similar to this pre-Covid which was so much fun and brought it back this year.  Lots of our friends live in about a half mile radius of each other, so its an easy walk or golf cart ride from one house to another!  We started the evening with cocktails and carolers, then headed to the next house for a sit down dinner and then to the final house for dancing and dessert!

From cocktails, to a gorgeous sit down dinner for everyone with the perfect sunset too!

Last stop, dessert and dancing and a fun bonfire!

The next day we were supposed to head with my family to brunch with Santa, but Molly woke up in the middle of the night with the stomach bug!! Ugh!  Matt also left that morning for his annual guys trip to Aspen, so I was on my own.  And the next day, of course, Madelyn and I ended up with the bug and Matt ended up with it in Aspen! Yikes.  I prayed we would all be done with it before it was time for me to meet him in Aspen on Thursday and thankfully we were!

I celebrated an end of the season Christmas Party with my tennis team and a fun gift exchange!

The kids had a couple of holiday parties at school to close out the first half of the school year.

Then I flew with a few of my girlfriends to go meet the boys in Aspen for a few days.  It was so much fun.  I haven’t had an adult ski trip in so long. We were so lucky with the weather and the snow.  You can read more about that trip here.

When we got home, Molly had a quick little procedure on her lip.  It’s called a mucus seal.  I’m probably spelling that wrong, but she was down for a few hours, but then popped right back to her old self. This is her getting rolled back for surgery in her little wagon 🙂

My brother and SIL threw a beautiful holiday cocktail party at their house on the 21st which was so fun.

And then it was time to get into the last few days before Christmas.  You can read more about those here.

December is always a crazy busy month and we try to do our best to soak it all in! It was really pretty nice to escape for a few nights to Aspen to not think about all the holiday stress!
