Ghoul’s Gin Martini Recipe

I was dying to make a fun purple cocktail for Halloween this year and when I was out shopping, I found a purple colored gin!  I knew I had to make a fun recipe using it.  The hardest part of this recipe is just finding all the unique ingredients, but mixing it up is easy-peasy.  You can use a regular clear gin with this recipe too but your cocktail might not come out quite as purple.  This drink may look sweet, but it’s really not! One of my friends described it like a lavender lemonade and I would say that’s pretty accurate!

Purple Martini

Ghoul’s Gin Martini

Ingredients

2 ounces Impress 1908 Indigo gin (I found at Publix liquor store)
1/4 ounce maraschino liqueur
1/4 ouncecrème de violette liqueur
1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
lemon peel, for garnish
Optional, dry ice

Directions
Mix all the ingredients together in a shaker with ice.  Shake well with ice.  Strain into a martini glass and garnish with lemon peel. Top with a small cube of dry ice for some spookiness, if desired.
