Scenes From Our Weekend

Happy February, friends!!

We kicked off the weekend wearing our pink and hearts in honor of February and then Matt and I jumped into some Mardi Gras fun on Friday night.

I am in a Mardi Gras crew called Pirouettes that has a ball every year where all the woman dress up in these weird black and white clown suits and the men look dapper in their tuxedos!! The only plus side to it is that we don’t have to stress about finding ball gowns!! So I appreciate that sometimes :).

We met some friends for dinner Friday night before the ball and then went to the ball to celebrate.  The band was fun and we danced and acted like goofs (if you saw my instagram stories), but had a blast.

Saturday we hung around most of the morning and then took the kids out to lunch and to the mall for a bit.  Geez, I forgot how crowded the malls get the weekend!  It’s like free entertainment for kids, so the place was packed!! We stayed home and had a quiet night with the kiddos and watched family movies.

Sunday the kids wanted cinnamon rolls for breakfast and they love making me color the icing.  This time they wanted every different color of food coloring we had! So we had a rainbow of cinnamon rolls.  They turned out pretty cute.

Poor Molly up lying on her pillow, feeding herself her own bottle!! I laughed because the kids scooted her under her play mat in that lounger.

We headed over to my brother and SIL’s house around lunch time to celebrate my nephews 2nd birthday!! It was an Elmo party and so cute!

All the kiddos had a blast! We had a quiet rest of the day on Sunday.  We boycotted the Super Bowl in honor of the Saints!  So that meant no football on in our house!  Who wants to see that Patriots win again any way?? 😛
