We go out on the boat a lot once spring and summer hit and I am always trying to come up with easy and fun things to pack for a long boat day. We have tried a lot of different things over the years and I decided to round up some of our very favorites. I would love to hear from you too if you have a favorite, leave it in the comments.
My friend had these adorable clear containers that are perfect for serving food in a fancy way on the boat.
Food
Hawaiian Roll Sandwiches – There are lots of ways to do this and you can do them hot or cold. Get your Hawaiian rolls and slice them all in half in one big piece. Add your toppings and then place them all back in the bag they came in!
Picnic Roll Ups – These are so good to make and you can set them out on the boat so they get nice and warm in the sun.
Pulled Pork Sandwiches – We love to make these and wrap them in tin foil and bring them onto the boat.
Chicken Salad Croissants – I love to grab chicken salad from fresh market and place it on some croissants and call it a day. Easy and delicious.
Pigs in a Blanket – No recipe needed here! An old childhood favorite. Grab a pack of crescents and some hot dogs and American cheese or your cheese of choice. Lay out crescent, place a piece of cheese then hot dog and roll them up like a crescent.
Foil Wrapped Hot Dogs – Matt loves to do these. Place a bunch of hot dogs on the grill and then go ahead and place each one in a hot dog bun and wrap them individually in tin foil. Bring your toppings on the side.
Fruit & Veggie Tray – These are great to make in this tray or this one and bring on the boat.
Other Ideas:
Ranch + Fiesta Pinwheels – these pinwheels are great to bring on the boat too for bite size snacks.
Chicken Caesar Wraps – light on the dressing so they don’t get too soggy.
Don’t feel like cooking???
Favorite Things to Pick Up:
Chickfila
Publix Subs
Jersey Mikes (no oil and vinegar)
Fried Chicken
Sushi tray (for an evening happy hour)
Dips
Mexi Corn Dip – This is a highly popular dip and so addicting!
Black Bean Feta – This may be my favorite one to bring on the boat because somehow the sauce that’s used is so refreshing and perfect for the boat.
Boat Dip – Super simple and adaptable and easy to bring to the pool or boat.
Fiesta Ranch Dip – similar to the boat dip and equally addicting.
Crabmeat Dip – This one is a fancier dip that may be nice for an evening sunset happy hour cruise.
Drinks
Summer Brew – This one is always a hit and super easy to make. I try to keep the frozen lemonade cans in my freeze during summer so I can make them whenever needed.
White Wine Margaritas – If you are not a beer drinker on the boat, this cocktail is for you. We love these white wine margaritas and can prepped the night before.
Margarita Pitcher – If you’re having a long day out on the boat and want to make a margarita, this pitcher recipe is perfect.
Aperol Spritz – Grab a bottle of Aperol and a bottle of Champagne. Pour your champagne, add a splash of aperol and garnish with an orange slice.
Pain Killers– This drink immediately transports me to the BVI’s.
