Scenes From Our Weekend | March 2022

Wow, so it’s been more than 2 years since I have done a “scenes from our weekends” post and I thought it was time that I brought them back.  They may not make an appearance every single Monday, but I am going to do my best to getting back to recapping our weekends here.

I typically try to do a little recap in my instagram stories each Sunday or Monday, but I would love to go back to having a place for them to live here on the blog.   I love looking back at them and just went back through memory lane as I looked at some of the old ones and how tiny the kids were!

So here goes…I would love for you to leave a comment on this post at the end if these are something you enjoy reading 🙂

Friday evening we went over to our friends house for dinner with the kids.   I brought this new Spinach and Onion dip that I am going to share with you guys tomorrow and I’m telling you it was SOO good! I really wasn’t sure I was going to like it and we ended up LOVING it!

My girlfriend also made these Truffle roasted carrots to go with our steaks and they were so delicious.  It was just carrots, truffle oil and fresh thyme and roast them on 425.  Then she topped them with feta cheese.  I never roast carrots because Matt doesn’t like them, so this was a treat for me!

We had ZERO plans for Saturday which was so nice, so everyone slept in and we had a nice, slow morning at home.  I baked some cinnamon rolls for the kids and got cute with them by taking the end of each cinnamon roll and pinching it to make bunny ears on each roll.  I love using the Annie’s brand cinnamon rolls.  Then I just sprinkled them with some Spring colored sprinkles we had.

The day was turned out so gorgeous with perfect blue skies, we decided we needed to take the boat out.  So we packed up a few sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls (our favorite), got in our suits and hopped on the boat.

We parked the boat on a little beach where the kids played in the sand, swam a little bit (even though the water is still very cold!) , and they threw the football a bit.

The girls both fell asleep on me on the way home!!  I would call it a good day 🙂

We got home in time to take a quick shower and then my Mom was coming over to cook us all dinner!! My brothers family came over too and we all had a delicious dinner of seafood pasta and Matt grilled a couple of ribeyes and the combo of the two was so yummy!!

I was playing with Spring tablescapes, so we got to enjoy a pretty table for dinner.  I will share a post this week with more info all the tablescape and sources!!

Sunday I had brunch plans with the girls to celebrate our friend, Carey’s, birthday.  It was a gorgeous day, so we enjoyed brunch inside and then moved outside for a bit to get some Vitamin D!

Matt hung with the kiddos at the house and when I got home, they were ready to grill hot dogs and hamburgers with the kids for dinner.  Some friends were over for a bit and the kids played outside all afternoon.  It was so beautiful.  They even got in the pool for a bit even though it was freezing!

The sunset was SO gorgeous last night. I am so looking forward to all the pretty sunsets coming our way for Spring and Summer and all the longer days 🙂

The kids are wearing matching suits from Bella Bean.  They are so cute and I’m obsessed with the back of Madelyn’s suit.  They are offering 15% off this week with code TBBLOVESSPRING. Offer ends 4/2/22.  You can shop them below.
