Scenes From Our Weekend | Masters Parties + Spicy Margarita Recipe | April 2022

Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? We had another busy one, and I wanted to take a few minutes to recap and share some photos!

We had a relatively low-key Friday evening, but I took advantage of our free time and perfected my newest spicy margarita recipe. I will be sure to share it soon! I also recently re-posted my recipe for barbeque shrimp. So tasty and always a crowd pleaser! This is on heavy rotation at my house, and we enjoyed it as an easy meal on Friday night!  I also keep making this spicy margarita and shared the recipe on insta, so Ill share it here too! It’s so good.

Spicy Margarita
1.5 ounce good tequila
1.5 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
.5 ounce Gris Gris Jalapeno hex simple syrup
One squeeze of fresh orange
Top with Topo Chico
Rim Glass with Red Clay Spicy Margarita Salt

Mix together and Serve on Ice.

We had a couple of parties to go to on Saturday, and both were a hit with the kids and adults! First, we went to our nephew, William’s birthday party. The kids had a blast — so many fun activities to do!

Sported my Masters gear all weekend 🙂

Love this shot of Brody and Molly.

Next, we made it to a friend’s house for her Masters party! So much fun! I made a twist on one of my favorite appetizers – Pimento Sausage Balls! I will be sure to post the recipe.

Such a beautiful spread by my friend Evan!

Sunday, I had planned a Masters-themed dinner at home (here is my tablescape, if you missed it from last week!) We had our friends over and the kids spent some time out on the water. Perfect day!

Chinese Coleslaw

Last, but not least…I got the chance to play pickleball for the first time! It was a great time! Have you ever played?

That’s a wrap on the weekend! Do you do anything special for Masters weekend? For us, it’s a fun excuse to have an easy get together with friends. We definitely accomplished that! 🙂

Cheers to a great week ahead! I’ll be back soon with some Easter preparation posts!
