Scenes From Our Weekend | Seaside Girls Trip

I spent this past weekend on a fun girls trip down to Seaside, FL.  We had a dozen of us along for the trip this year and it was such a fun escape to recharge, hang up our Mom hats for a few days, and enjoy a beautiful weekend with our girlfriends.  November really is a gorgeous time to be on 30A.  The crowds are gone and it is so peaceful to walk around and just enjoy the quaint towns and all the shops and restaurants they have to offer.

We knew this weekend wouldn’t be about lounging at the pools or the beach, so we planned fun daytime activities like pickle ball, shopping and lunching :). Last year, we took a trip this same weekend and went to Serenbe, GA and that was such a fun little getaway too.  We caught the leaves changing and it was fun to bundle up and explore the sweet little town. So, it was so fun to make another trip this year!

Okay, here’s a little recap of our weekend…

Most of us actually got into town on Thursday evening.  We all met up at a couple of houses in Watercolor that some friends so graciously opened up to us and then we went for an easy dinner up the street at the Perfect Pig.  Our table was ready right away for us and it was a great first meal.

FRIDAY

On Friday, we kept our morning slow and drank coffee and chatted while a few girls took a stroll through the neighborhood.  We all got our workout clothes on and geared up for an hour of pickle ball at 11am.  Some of us had played before and some had never played, so it was fun to teach everyone the game and I am pretty sure we have a few girls that can’t wait to play again back at home!

We went straight to lunch in Seaside after we played and ended up at Bud and Alleys Pizza.  It was a gorgeous day, so we weren’t surprised when Bud & Alleys had an hour wait for a group our size.  But the pizza worked out great and then we all did some shopping and margaritas around the circle!

Friday evening we were all excited for an at-home hibachi experience.  One of the girls booked us, Mr. Hibachi, for the evening and they come right to your house and set everything up!  They literally do it all.  The only thing we had to walk to the table with was our wine bottles. They offer their services from Mobile, AL to Panama City, FL, so if you are in the area, I highly recommend you try them for a group dinner!  They were so entertaining and made everyone be involved and then when we were done eating, we just walked inside and they do all the cleanup.  It’s pretty amazing.

SATURDAY

Saturday morning was spent nice and slow again at home with coffee and chit chats.  We had a few walkers again and then it was time for everyone to get showered and dressed for the day because we were headed to Alys Beach for lunch at Citizen.  It was another gorgeous day and we had the perfect outdoor table.  We celebrated two of the girls birthdays and took our time enjoying lunch.  The food was so good!

After lunch, it was time for some more shopping.  If you haven’t shopped some of the new Alys Beach shops, its a must.  They really have some fabulous things.  After shopping, we stopped at the new Fonville Press which was beautiful and had an espresso martini pick me up.

After we got home from shopping, we had time for just a quick freshen up because then it was time for dinner.  We had reservations at Surfing Deer which was right down the street and we were able to just golf cart quickly to dinner.

We spent all our evenings after dinner playing games and drinking wine.  We played the game, Who in the Room?  It was really fun and reminded me of a game I played growing up called True Colors.  We played Who in the Room and then also made up some of our own questions which I highly recommend ;). It spurred on fun stories and good conversations after many of the questions.

SUNDAY

Our last day and everyone was sad to say goodbye.   We had a few people stay and play a little more pickle ball and have one last lunch before it was time to head home.  We had lunch at FOOW by the Watercolor Inn and hit a couple of the cute Watercolor shops.  The water was stunning on Sunday and it always makes me never want to leave!

I always look forward to a great girls trip!  I can’t wait to see what we do next year 🙂
