Scenes From Our Weekend | Pensacola Fiesta

This weekend kicked off a ton of fun in Pensacola where we celebrated Fiesta of Five Flags which is a 10 day long Heritage Festival celebrating the five flags that have flown over Pensacola since it was first established back in the 1500s.  They had a parade downtown on Friday night and we brought the kids to catch some loot.

I had been to Fresh Market this week and grabbed one of their dinners they do now for $20 to feed 4 people.  I just love the concept.  They take all of the thinking out of planning meals and they put it all together for you.  I grabbed a chicken cordon bleu meal and it was pretty darn good!  They show you how to cook it all together on a sheet pan and its super easy.  They do different meals each week. I can’t wait to try another one.

I have had fun watching Molly try new foods these days.  She loves sitting in her high chair and eating all the finger foods.  It helps keep her entertained for a long time, but she sure does make a MESS!!

Saturday morning we cooked some breakfast at home and then got ourselves dressed and ready to go swim at the Yacht Club and watch all of the boats get ready to parade for another portion of the Fiesta events.   We swam all morning and had lunch at the club.  It was gorgeous and then a little rain tried to catch us later that afternoon.

swimsuits

Lots of you asked about my yellow swim suit I’m wearing.  I really love it and it also comes in a really cute pink color.  I can’t seem to find my high waist bottoms anymore, but they have the regular rise.  They also have a matching girls suit which I have for Madelyn too!  I am wearing a 12.

Saturday evening we had friends over for dinner. I made a little cheese board for an appetizer and it was pretty yummy.  My favorite thing these days is this Mikes Hot Honey!

On Sunday, we had a pretty lazy day.  We got all dressed because I thought we might end up going somewhere, but we really just hung at the house all day.  Matt got some work done around the house fixing things and me and the kids had an afternoon water gun fight!!  That was pretty much the extent of it.

The girls bubbles

It was a fun weekend!! All of the Fiesta activities still go on all this week.  We will wrap things up next weekend!
