Scenes From Our Weekend

This was one of those weekends that we really needed.  A weekend with absolutely no plans that ended up being the MOST fun!

Thursday night, we had tickets to go to a christian concert in Pace, FL called Big Daddy Weave.   My kids love rocking to Christian music (my MIL introduces them to lots of good bands) and one of their favorite songs is, The Lion and the Lamb.  They know all the words and sing it all the time.  So when we saw they were coming to town, we knew we had to take them.   It was a ton of fun, the kids got to hear their song, and we were introduced to even more songs that we loved!  They both sang, sat on my shoulders, the whole crowd was standing for most of the show and Madelyn looked over at me sitting down at one point and said, “Mama, stand up for the Lord.” I died laughing!

Friday morning I took the big kids to school and then took Molly to her 6 month check-up!!  She’s finally filling out.  Up to 90th percentile and height and 60th in weight!

Friday evening we met some friends up at the Yacht club for dinner and let the kids play outside! It ended up being a gorgeous evening and the club had some hilarious entertainment that the kids ended up loving! Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe in the house!!

Saturday morning we took the kids out to breakfast.  Matt and I were quickly realizing that taking 3 kids out now has officially become HARD.  Molly is 6 months now and ready to be a part of the action plus she has found her VOICE!

That afternoon, I took Madelyn to a birthday party for one of her classmates and it was SO ADORABLE!!  It is a Mother/Daughter team called The Teetering Teacup that puts on the most precious Tea Parties for birthdays/showers/luncheons/etc!

This was for a 4 year old birthday party and it was such a hit.  The girls could have stayed and played all day long!!  They played dress up, learned some basic manners, stirred their tea, wore their white gloves, ate cake from gold forks and were all around adorable!!

On Saturday night, we rented Peter Pan, put in a frozen pizza and had a fun family night on the couch! It was a perfect ending to the day!

Sunday was another warm day and turned out to be sunny.   I had brunch planned with the girls and a babysitter for Molly.  Matt took the big kids to the beach and they had a ball!  They ended up getting in the water in their underwear and didn’t even let the cold phase them!

We had so much fun catching up and brunching!  It was such a pretty day, we just couldn’t call it quits!

Can you tell I am ready for Spring????  This dress is Lilly, but its old and no longer available!! I love it so much.  I wish they would bring this pattern back.  I have it in a swimsuit too and I’m obsessed!

We all met back at the house and the kids were having a blast playing outside and we had a fun dinner at the house.  Matt and I had a cheese tray, so the kids to have one too and they wanted to watch SING.

I would say it was the perfect end to the evening!!  Loved our weekend at home with the kids and spending time with friends.
